This is an update on the situation in Ivory Coast.  Since my last intervention, the country seems to have sunk into the worst. Indeed, not only has the number of victims increased, but the geographical extent of violence too has grown. Today, the number of dead people is more than one hundred. And violence seems to spread from the south-east to the west via the mid-west regions of the country. Abidjan remains the most violent zone both in terms of absolute number as well as victims/total population ratio. Let us note in this regard that rumor has it that 2 mass graves have been discovered in the suburbs of the economic capital. The département of Sinfra appears equally violent when we compare of number of victims there to the overall population of this département.
